Give 10,000 snacks and meals to kids this summer!

Help bridge the summer food gap by providing 200+ kids with nutritious meals at Lay-Up

Providing kids in your community with nutritious foods will make an incredible difference to their positive experience on-court, contributing to positive energy, learning, engagement, teamwork, mood and health.

Food Insecurity is Rising

During the school year, over 150,000 kids access food through school nutrition programs in Toronto. During the summer months, this support is unavailable, leaving thousands of families facing increased food insecurity.

Rapidly rising food costs are making the problem worse and will have the biggest impact on families already facing barriers to affordable and healthy food. Food banks are being stretched to their limit, and many summer lunch initiatives have not been able to return to support in-person programs this year.

Lay-Up plays an important part in addressing this issue by providing healthy food at our community-based programs in Toronto Neighbourhood Improvement Areas where families face disproportionate and systemic barriers to accessing food.
