Prince Dankyi is a Head Coach at Lay-Up. Starting as a volunteer, he grew into a role on the leadership team where he has made a transformative impact through sport, coaching, and youth development. His passion for mentorship began in high school, where he was active in the Buddy Program and Leadership Club, while also serving as a team captain, two-time MVP, and OFSAA competitor (2018–2019). At the collegiate level, he played for Canadore College (2019–2020), earning Rookie of the Year, before continuing at Seneca College (2020–2022). His seamless transition from player to coach highlights his leadership and natural ability to inspire those around him. In addition to his role at Lay-Up Basketball and coaches at James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School, where he helped lead the team to a TCDAA Girls Basketball Championship. Prince’s leadership ensures that developing people comes first, reinforcing that success is about more than just winning.
